Jane Doe 16 Release
Hangar Pub and Grill. 10 University Drive Amherst, MA
11:30 am
11:59 pm
The sixteenth installment of our experimental hoppy series was brewed with Drunken Rabbit Brewing and Jute Town Brewing for The 2018 Worthy Brewfest. Each year at The Worthy, the winner of the homebrew portion of the event has brewed a beer with us on our 10BBL brewhouse. Last year, Bruno from Drunken Rabbit took home the win, but he now has his own commercial brewery in South Hadley. He graciously invited Greg of Jute Town in Ludlow, which came in 2nd place, to brew a beer with him at our place. In a truly collaborative fashion, we each brought some specialty ingredients we have been looking to use or have used with great success. Jane Doe 16 is a Double IPA brewed using 50% brewers base malt and 50% oat malt and 50 lbs of milk sugar. We all chose to hop it with Simcoe and Citra hops, plus a small addition of basil in the whirlpool. This beer will be finished off with another dose of Simcoe and Citra and conditioned upon strawberry and pineapple puree. We'll have a limited number of cans available in Amherst, plus draft at each Hangar location. Jane Doe 16 will also be on tap at Smiths Billiards in anticipation of Worthy. Plus, we'll be pouring it at Worthy on Saturday June 16th!

A Valley Malt Experience
The Dirty Truth, 29 Main Street, Northampton
4:00 pm
1:00 am
Join us Thursday June 14th as we celebrate Valley Malt and the brewers they influence. We are very fortunate to have pioneers in the malting craft right here in Western Massachusetts. Their malt has become a vital part of craft beer locally and nation wide. As brewers look to explore the diversity of each ingredient, local malt has started to emerge as a unique and environment driven part of the process. We have selected a range of beer that we think best showcases the work of Valley Malt and each Brewer. To further highlight the distinct agriculture of Western Massachusetts, we will serve farm forward specials to pair with the beer.
